History: The grand father of Krishnadevarayar of vijayanagara empire Worshipped this temple. Narasimha idol is self manifested and it is believed to be more than 5000yrs old. The mountain looks as and also is in the form of Lord Adisheshan ( Fiveheaded snake). Swami is a swayambhu Moorthi form.Its called as Sesha Narayana Narasimhar. This Adiseshan mountain has been grown from 13th century of Krishnadevarays grand fathers period. From ancient days Adisheshan protects Lord as an Umbrella seating at this shrine. From here there is a narrow path which leads to the back of ahobilam . So this is also called as SRI AHOBILA NARAYANA TEMPLE. Later a devotee wanted to construct this place as a temple and started work by digging with JCB. But JCb got broken and the works couldnot complete. Then the devotees decided at the bottom Itself to be placing Lord Sri Swayambhu moorthi as salagrama for worshipping. Swami is in the sitting posture with Lord Mahalakshmi. Devotees pray and keep visiting cards and marriage Invitations to receive Blessings.
