GUDAVALLI
Brief History Of The Kshetra (Sthala Puranam):
1100 years back when a fisherman was putting his net to catch fish in a lake named putta madugu, the net was repeatedly getting damaged. Two maharshi’s named Abbanayya and Subbanayya gave their tapes shakti so that the net won’t get damaged. In that net they got lords idol instead of fish. They also got Narasimha stamba (pillar) in that net. From then that pillar is called Stambha Giri Narasimha swamy.
