In kritayuga, being pleased by the penance of Subha Vrata lord Mahavishnu came here in the form of Narasimha. King Subha Vrata Maharaja transformed himself into a hill and on the hill is swayambhu lord Narasimha. There is another temple pushkarni beneath the hill with varaha.

Uniqueness And Significance Of Kshetra: If devotees perform kalyana utsava to lord on swathi nakshatram, they attain kalyana prapti. Performing abhishekam to lord will lead to karya siddi.
