Srinarasimhakutumbam.org is an interactive blog cum portal initiated by His Holiness Srimad Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Swayam Prakasha Sachidananda Saraswathi Maha Swamiji AdiShankaracharya Sharada Lakshmi Narasimha Peetam, Sree Math Hariharapura.

Sri Sri Mahaswamiji’s objective behind this initiative is to raise the awareness of viewers about various temples of Lord Narasimha in India and other countries, who are the devotees of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy.

In India alone there are more than 1200 Narasimha temples.

Some of them are classified as Divya Kshetras and Punya Kshetras according to Sthala Puranas…

Divya Kshetras: These holy kshetras are where Lord Sri Narasimha is said to have manifested on HIS own. They also are the Kshetras where great Maharshis performed intense penance worshipping Lord Sri Narashima and received HIS blessings directly.

  • The Sri Narasimha Mahamantram contains 32 letters in it and hence the number 32 assumes great significance with relevance to Lord Sri Narasimha. It is for this reason thus, that in this portal, we have chosen to provide information about most holy 32 Divya Kshetras across the length and breadth of our holy land Bharath.
  • These holy Divya Kshetras may be many more in number but for this portal, for our convenience we have restricted it to the above said number.

Punya Kshetras: These holy kshetras are those temples which have a history or sthala purana of more than 300 years.

  • The Math has authorised the blog coordinators to visit personally and collect the datas of the Kshetras and Temples.
  • The portal cum blog is under construction and we shall update information and authentic data furnished by the blog Coordinators of the Math with the support of the temple management.
  • We shall also add information regarding various other Narasimha Shrines in the country on an ongoing process.
  • The video clippings and images in this portal are taken with due permission from the temples and relevant festivals, poojas and homams performed in each temple will be updated shortly.
  • There is a special section in this portal, where scholars lend their voice for a video on Lord Narasimha Discourses.
  • Also available here are Slokas, songs, dances and Narasimha Stuthi, rendered by devotees of Lord Narasimha, endowed with great artistic talent.
  • The devotees of Narasimha Kutumbam are welcome to share any authentic information related to the portal.
