History:
In ancient days this place is called as BargaviKshetram. This place has taken its name as Narasapuram From the name of the Lord Narasimha. It is 1600 yrs old. The sthala vruksha Vanni Mara is protected with barricades the and the roots of which have scientifically proven to be 1600 yrs old In ancient days the priest of the temple performed weekly pooja alankara and aradhana on every Saturday and decorated with gold and valuable ornaments.The ornaments with the alankara will be remained the same till next Saturday. .And this place is in thick forest region. One such day , a theif decided to rob these jewels owned by the diety. Lord got ferocious and pulled the vanni mara with its root out and swirled it around and killed the thief. Since then there has never been robbery and on attempting such practices there is instant punishment given by the Lord. Another important feature of this temple the presence of Lord Narasimhas pada signifying the Lords existence.
